~Abilities~
Special Ability/Gift: Control over the fire emanating from his katana.
Weapon: Shishio's katana is named Mugenjin, and like Kenshin's reverse blade sword, the Mugenjin is also unlike other swords. The Mugenjin has a serrated edge, like a saw, and after having killed so many people with it the blade is permanently soaked in human oil. When Shishio scrapes the edge of his sword against any surface the human oil ignites creating a flame that Shishio has a seamless control over during combat.

~Appearance~
Physical Looks: With his entire body burned Shishio has chard blackish brownish skin, and piercing red eyes, he wears bandages all over his body save openings for his eyes and mouth and some hair does stick out on his head. He also wears black boots, and gloves, and a blue kimono with the right arm outside the sleeve, as it hangs over the side of his belt, he has often been described as looking like a samurai mummy.7 feet tall, 350 pounds, muscular appereance.

History: Shishio Makoto fought during the Japanese Revolution as an Imperialist, the same as Himura Kenshin. Kenshin was working as the Imperialist's secret assassin, and due to his incredible fighting prowess he soon earned the nickname Hitokiri Battôsai (sword-bearing master assassin). However after an incident in which the enemy tried to have him killed by using a complicated plot involving a woman who he fell in love with and married, she was ultimately killed when she ran out during combat to shield Kenshin, and he then cut into her by mistake. Distraught, with feelings of guilt, and loneliness, Kenshin gave up the role of Hitokiri Battôsai, thus Shishio was given the duties of Battôsai in Kenshin's place. Shishio also being a man of truly amazing sword skills became the assassin of the shadows killing the key targets in order to build a new government. Shishio held the role of Battôsai for longer than Kenshin had, in fact Shishio knew all the dirty little secrets that had created the Meiji government. Thus they feared Shishio for what he knew, lured into a trap a firing squad shot Shishio and then oil was poured onto his body and then he was lit on fire. Shishio due perhaps to a strong contusion, or for perhaps the chance for revenge did not die, in fact Shishio became even stronger!

After Shishio's near brush with death he came to the conclusion that: "This world is a survival of the fittest, if you are strong you live if you are weak you die. " After the installation of the Meiji government Shishio became disgusted with what Japan had been turned into. Thus Shishio began building an army, to take over Japan, because he was the strongest man he was the one meant to rule.
